Chapter 18

When we got to Liberty’s house, she said her goodbyes to my crew, and I hopped out and walked her up to the doorstep. “I’m proud of you for tonight, baby.”

She wrung her fingers nervously as she looked at me with those beautiful doe eyes and bit her lip. So sexy.

“Really? Did I do good?”

I lifted my hand to her cheek. “You killed that. My baby. The coldest MC I know.”

The glint in her eyes told me she was thinking the same thing I was. As much love as I had for the OCGs, for once, I regretted that my crew was with me. Trei’s blocking ass. If it weren’t for G-rock and Montay, I promise I would’ve put Liberty back in that car, got Abel to hook me up with a hotel room, and spent a little extra time with my baby, boo-loving. Consequences be damned. Liberty just would’ve had to face the punishment after tonight because she’d had my nose wide open ever since our first time. Surely, there would’ve been hell to pay, but it would’ve been worth it.

Wrapping her close in my arms, we held each other for a minute, lost in our own time and space. It was in these moments when the entire world was dead to me. I could’ve stayed intertwined with Liberty until the end of time. When she wrapped her arms around my neck, I leaned down and placed my lips against hers. Her kisses were sunbeams. They lit up my soul. Feathery, light, sexy, and loving. I loved her lips on mine. Taking the opportunity to grab a handful of her luscious behind, I pulled her into me so she could feel my need for her. She moaned, and I swear it took everything in me not to kick my homies out of that car. Just as we were about to kiss again, the blue pager hanging on my hip started chirping. When Montay opened the car door and yelled, that forced me back into the reality of the outside world.

“Hey, mayne! Check your pager. Did you get a 911 from Abel?”

I let go of Liberty and pulled my pager off my hip. “Yeah, I got it,” I confirmed to Montay. He got back in the car, and I turned back to Liberty. “I gotta go.”

Without a moment’s hesitation, she agreed. “I know.” With that, she gave me a quick peck on the lips before turning and opening her front door. “Be careful out there. I love you.”

I winked at her. “I love you more.” She smiled and shut her door before I jogged down the steps and jumped in the car.

With the new awareness on my mind, I floored my Caprice over to the trap to find out what was going on with Abel. Montay, G-rock, and I pulled up, and I knew it was bad. The 911 had gone out to the entire OCG crew. Cars were lined up everywhere. When we walked in, there was a mix of emotions.
